Project Manager Job Description

McWilliams & Associates Inc is looking to hire a Project Manager to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. This is a critical position in our organization. 90% of our work comes from referrals so building those relationships is critical. The work we do is not the same as selling a consistent “widget” and, therefore, the work we do with each client needs to be managed to ensure an awesome experience for everyone who interacts with our company.   • Creates and executes project work plans and implementation schedules. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Identifies business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
  • Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping and level of effort assessments.
  • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project, scope, timelines and deliverables.
  • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on project through managing client expectations and exceptional documentation.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Quality assurance throughout the planning, execution, and follow up stages
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Microsoft Visio, Word and Intermediate Excel skills preferred, Gant chart experience a plus
